CalWorks Program Receives 2002 Student Success Award |

Ventura College’s CalWorks program was the recipient of a 2002 Student Success Award, presented to eight California Community Colleges by the Board of Governors and the Chancellor’s Office. The program partnered with the County of Ventura Workforce Investment Board to implement the “Caregivers Grant,” a training program that provides CalWORKs students with case management experience and the support services necessary to complete the program and obtain employment. The award honors programs that demonstrate an ability to effectively respond to student needs in the areas of curricular and instructional services, economic development, vocational education, and student services.
