Computer Application/Office Technology AS Degrees and Certificates

 

Skyline College’s Computer Application/Office Technology Department (CAOT) offers a wide variety of options for students interested in an administrative career in today’s job market. Computer application courses provide training using the most current software application packages in a powerful computer lab setting. Flexible and creative instructors continually develop practical and relevant curriculum in response to the business industry’s ever changing technology and software needs. The program offers the broadest possible range of certificate and degree programs within the computer applications/office technology field. Students are able to begin training for entry-level positions (such as Office Assistant) and can build upon that training to progress to far more complex technical positions such as Administrative Assistant or Web Developer). Over 50 percent or more of the required classes for these degrees and/or certificates are offered in an online format providing students with increased access to the course offerings resulting in better program completion. The CAOT Department currently has 26 of its 38 courses (68%) offered in an online format.
