In-Service Training for Automotive Technicians

 

The Automotive Technology Program at Skyline College offers evening and weekend classes for skill upgrades, career path advancement, and educational advancement.  Courses are available in all areas of automotive technology, except auto body and diesel.

Students receive training using the latest state-of-the-art equipment and lab assignments are performed on vehicles ranging in age from 1986 to 2005.  Courses required by the Bureau of Automotive Repair for Smog Check licensing are offered; this includes updating an existing license or obtaining a new license.  A variety of specialty courses are offered on the weekends, most courses can be completed in one to two weekends. The Automotive Technology Program at Skyline College is nationally recognized and certified by Automotive Service Excellence (AS) as a National Automotive Technicians Education Foundation (NATEF) institution.  Students taking even and weekend classes can earn an AS in Automotive Technology.  A Certificate of Completion is given for most courses.
