Troubleshooting Contest brings High School Students on Campus

 

Shasta College’s Automotive Technology Program holds a “Looking For Trouble” Troubleshooting Contest each year, inviting high school and R.O.P. students in the region to use their automotive troubleshooting skills and compete for prizes. 

 

 Stations in the contest include:

  • ·         Component I.D.

  • ·         Engine performance quiz

  • ·         Wiring harness

  • ·         Disc Brake disassembly/reassembly

  • ·         Timing belt

  • ·         Starter motor circuit

  • ·         Parts look-up

  • ·         Measurement station

  • ·         Pre-delivery inspection

  • ·         Spark station

  • ·         Electrical component ohm check

 

Prizes range from tools - to scholarships - to cash awards, donated by industry sponsors.
