Santa Barbara City College College Achievement Program (CAP)

The College Achievement Program, (CAP), program provides an academic success course which brings student services, (career, academic, financial aid, tutoring), into the classroom. Students are taught time management, study skills, small group communication, prioritization, etc.

Skills for reading, writing, and mathematics are a central component. Faculty across the programs volunteer to participate. Faculty responsibilities include monitoring student progress, required one-on-one student conferences with CAP students, and guest lectures in CAP courses.
