Santa Rosa Community College Career Related Curriculum |

Santa Rosa Community College Faculty are encouraged to assign students career-related tasks that relate to the curriculum presented in the classroom. Students from a variety of classes including Counseling, Business and Architectural Drafting have use the Career Center to research occupational information. At the April 28, 2004 Career Fair, faculty were encouraged to assign students with a career-related task which required a signature by a featured employer or college department. Seminars and workshops are offered on a monthly basis to students and residents, featuring topics such as Resume Writing. Customized orientation sessions are also offered on a regular basis to students enrolled in a specific course. For example, an upcoming May 2004 Career Center orientation for ESL students will deliver information to students using appropriate English-language skills learned in the classroom.
