Student Ambassador Program

This practice focuses on special population students.  San Diego Miramar College identifies vocational special population students to serve as student ambassadors.  The ambassadors host campus tours and conduct outreach to potential students.

The Ambassador Program has dual benefits in that it enhances campus recruitment efforts and provides leadership development opportunities for the special population students.  These students serve as role models and can communicate more directly with their peers sharing relevant information about programs and educational opportunities.

The Ambassadors build leadership, public speaking, and communication skills while supporting the campus efforts to recruit special populations to campus programs.
