San Diego Community College District Continuing Education added a new site to its Acquired Brain Injury Program in the summer of 2007 to address the growing needs of the community’s war veterans. The additional program provides instruction at Naval Medical Center San Diego, formerly Balboa Hospital.
Problem Solving: Students learn about the relationship between brain injury and difficulties with problem solving. Students learn how to identify their problems, how to find reasonable solutions, and how to implement those solutions with practical strategies.
