San Bernardino Valley College provides a monthly resume review service by Mary Nemnich, Coordinator of the college’s Career Center Placement/Cooperative Education services. Nemnich, who has authored several publications on how to seek a job online and produce a snappy resume, asks students to bring two copies of a resume for review. Appointments are made for 15-minute intervals and drop-ins are accepted as time allows. The event is marketed through campus flyers and other published campus calendars. Mary has found that the service has been popular with not just students, but with instructors and staff as well, who are seeking to improve their own resume.
