Technology Usage Survey applied to Staff and Faculty

Saddleback College’s Office of Research, Planning and Grants conducted a survey on the application and frequency of technology being used by faculty and staff, and reported results in a spring 2002 report entitled “Saddleback College Technology Usage Survey Executive Summary.”

Some of the findings included: 73.9% of faculty were using technology as an instructional tool; and 85.9% of all respondents were using email daily to three days a week to perform their jobs.

Recommendations included offering customized in-service training to meet faculty and staff needs, and developing internal standards of minimum required proficiencies.
