“School-to-Career” Academies Provide Natural Step to Career Path

 

Los Angeles Valley College offers a series of vocational and technical education Academies that serve high school students wanting to transition to the world of work.

These “School-to-Career” Academies, where willing employers are brought in to provide “hands-on” instruction to students, seek to motivate high school students to increase their achievement in academic classes for future careers.

High school students enroll concurrently in Valley College courses in order to matriculate directly into a college career path.

Academies:  Fire Instruction, Recruitment and Education; Fire Wildlands; Emergency Medical Tech; Drill Tower; Robotics; and coming soon- Leadership Academy; Sheriffs Academy.
