Pierce College has developed a faculty guide on Best Teaching Practices. The guide includes a quick personal professional assessment and sections on the nurturing classroom, ideal behaviors of instructors, behaviors expected of students and more.... A checklist includes: elements of a course syllabus; a model for the first day; a teaching practices survey; elements of a lesson plan; classroom assessment; and a list of 30 things we know about adult learning.
