Job Postings in Class facilitate Students' Access to Employers

The Laney College Student Employment Center and Career Center offers students access to jobs right out of the classroom.

“The faculty member allows us to post jobs in their classes and then their students know the application of coursework. The report has jobs in the student's interest area.  Students then know the Student Employment Office exists; also, instructors in VTEA who have job placement mandates, build-up an employer base. We call this the ‘Teachers’ Report.”

Cleophas Griffin, Program Specialist, Laney College.
