Career Link Connects Students to Local Professionals for Career Information and Networking |

Lake Tahoe Community College has created an online tool for students wanting to explore various careers. Career Link features career profiles of people who live and work in the Lake Tahoe Region. The Web site programming and design was done by student interns. The career profiles are gathered by students as part of class assignments or extra credit. Students learn valuable interviewing and networking skills in the process. People featured on the Web site feel good about helping the students and the college. The information is local and personal. The database is not yet heavily populated but it does provide a good example of an interactive way to link students to the world of work.
