Career Awareness Month Celebrated by Holding “Career Corner on the Commons” |

Career Corner in the Commons was held on four different days in November 2002 as part of Lake Tahoe Community College's month long celebration of Career Awareness Month. The purpose of Career Corner was to encourage student interaction with the Career Center and its resources. Students who had never entered the Center before made use of the career exploration services. Career Corner featured a display of career books; two computers with Discover, Eureka, and Internet Career Resources; Self Directed Searches; handouts; and food. It was staffed from 10 a.m. - 3 p.m. by career counselors, vocational faculty and work experience/internship coordinators. Career Corner in the Commons is now expected to become an annual event.
