Scan N Talk
accesses links in the text like
www.colligo.us and e-mail
addresses like
Info@Colligo.us with a click of the mouse. With simple
keyboard commands you can hear your email or have a web page read to you.
Plus the built in screen reader will read all other files even PDF.
Simply place your
printed document on the scanner, push one button and in 20 seconds or less,
you can both listen to and see the document in large type on your monitor.
Our Optical Character
Recognition (OCR) program changes the images into text characters.
Colligo's Text To Speech (TTS) platform then converts the words and
punctuation into the spoken word. The scanner, OCR and TTS are similar to a
copying machine, a photocopier with a voice! Once listened to, you can now
save that reading for later use, print it out in large type or even in
Braille.
Scan N Talk, with or out the
scanner, allows the visually impaired to have access to the printed word,
allows those with dyslexia to greatly improve word recognition, improves
reading capabilities for the poor reader and those with learning
disabilities. And for those learning a new language associates the printed
word with the spoken sound.

devices. What is a visual device? A visual device is:
A mechanism, gadget or apparatus which is
intentionally designed to influence, direct or limit behavior...by making
information vital to the task-at-hand available at-a-glance – without
speaking a word.
