Performance
Accountability (Long
Download)
This project aimed
to identify and assess the accountability requirements in the Business
Education discipline/industry cluster as measured by outcomes, standards,
and student success. The California Community College Chancellor’s Office
defines this cluster to include 44 TOP (Taxonomy of Programs) Code areas
listed.
Over 250 vocational educators, students, business/industry
practitioners and leaders throughout the state of
California
participated in focus groups to explore and recommend how California
Community College vocational programs can better prepare all students for
productive employment. Participants were asked to evaluate The California
Community College Chancellor’s Office VTEA Core Indicator Reports (see
website listed below) in their discipline which indicates progress of
community college vocational programs in meeting the core standards in:
·
Skill
Attainment (grade of “C” or better);
·
Completions
(certificates, degrees, or transfer to UC/CSU);
·
Placement
(employment or UC/CSU transfer);
·
Retention
(three consecutive quarters of employment);
·
Equity
(training leading to nontraditional employment).

PeopleSoft | Corporate Accountability
Remember the simpler times when all you had to worry about were
"little" things like Y2K, the New Economy, and the global economic
slowdown?
How did today's accounting crisis ignite the largest wave of corporate
reforms since the Crash of 1929? While corporate corruption is partly to
blame, companies and investors must recognise that the crisis is also
structural in nature. Outdated financial accounting systems create
roadblocks to financial transparency and obscure the visibility of
internal and external stakeholders into a company's financial health. In
fact, 63 percent of Fortune 1000 CFOs say they are saddled with inadequate
budgeting, forecasting, and decision-support systems to get their jobs
done. Other structural roadblocks include complex accounting practices,
fragmented business processes, and opaque corporate communications to
investors.
Telephony- Accountability - a company's accounting policies ...
Understanding a company's accounting
policies within the context of its operations is vital to judging a
company's health, according to accounting expert Howard Schilit, author of
a book on financial reporting tricks. In an economically deteriorating
environment, investors have to pull double duty. That's because it's a
prime time for companies to try to gloss over the bad stuff.

was of the “highest importance.”

Assessment: At a Glance
Edutopia: The
George Lucas Educational Foundation
Standardized tests aren't the only way of gauging student
achievement. Throughout the country, educators are using performance
assessments to measure what students know and can do.
These real-world evaluations include:
• Standards-based projects and assignments that require students to apply
their knowledge and skills;
• Clearly defined rubrics (or criteria) to facilitate a fair and consistent
evaluation of student work;
• Opportunities for students to benefit from the feedback of teachers,
peers, and outside experts.
