ERIC
On SOUTHcat Plus, the University Library home page, select Full Text Journals & Indexes, then  EBSCO.  ERIC is not a full text database, but some of the documents are available through links to the EDRS site.
Professional Development Collection.
Like ERIC, this is an EBSCO database.  It is, however, full text.Search ERIC (which cites documents as well as journals) and Professional Development at the same time by selecting both databases. From the SOUTHcat page, select Full Text Journals Indexes (then EBSCO).
Education Index.  
 Select Full Text Journals & Indexes.  Choose FirstSearch.  Citations only, but many of the  articles may be in other databases with full text.  Ask a reference librarian.
Dissertation Abstracts International 
Click on Full Text Journals & Indexes.  Choose D in the alphabetical list of databases.  No full text (complete dissertations) but you do have citations and abstracts. The dissertations may be requested through ILL (Interlibrary Loan).
GPO Access. 
Indexes selected government documents, including the U.S. Department of Education. Link through Government Documents or Full Text Journals & Indexes. The Library will have many titles in its Government Documents depository collection.

Funding for Curriculum Development and Innovation

Possibilities for grants to fund your project in curriculum development exist within the university as well as from government agencies and private funding sources (foundations and corporations). The Office of Research Administration, located in Shepard Hall, Room 16 (650-5418), can help to guide faculty in grant searches. The staff can provide guidelines for a number of state and federal programs that support curriculum development. Related federal agency programs include:

  • NSF Course and Curriculum Development Projects (Annual deadline in June)
  • Department of Education FIPSE Program (Annual deadline in October)
  • NEH Humanities Focus Grant (Deadlines September 15 and April 17)
