The Teacher Quality
Partnership Project helps teacher/leaders design and pilot Core 40
instruction for their students and colleagues
across the state. This project proposes to establish a partnership comprised
of 47 teacher/leaders from nine school corporations and local education
agencies that will work in collaboration with staff from the Center for
Innovation in Assessment as well as faculty from the Indiana University's
School of Education and the College of Arts and Sciences.

Career and Technical Education
The
purpose of the Perkins Act is to prepare students to enter into the
workforce with the academic and vocational skills needed to compete
successfully in a world market. Perkins funds support programs that
encourage students to explore career options and develop the skills they
will need both in school and in the workplace. According to the National
Assessment of Vocational Education study, the most frequent uses of funds
include: occupationally relevant equipment, vocational curriculum materials,
materials for learning labs, curriculum development or modification, staff
development, career counseling and guidance activities, efforts for
academic-vocational integration, supplemental services for special
populations, hiring vocational staff, remedial classes, and expansion of
tech prep programs.

The Shodor Education Foundation, Inc.
seeks to partner with institutions and consortia to explore new approaches
to affect interdisciplinary, campus-wide reform. The Foundation's efforts
provide a framework on which to build and improve mathematics and science
education reforms through authentic interactive learning environments which
are learner-centered, group-oriented, and discovery-based. We are also
working with a number of public and private foundations, in coordination
with the National Science Foundation, to promote and revitalize

The ACSI is produced through a partnership of the University of Michigan
Business School, the American Society for Quality (ASQ), and the
international consulting firm, CFI Group.

trends in customer satisfaction and provides benchmarking insights into the
consumer economy for companies, industry trade associations and government
agencies. ACSI rates industries such as manufacturing, transportation,
retail and finance on scales of 0-100 based on telephone interviews with

It is a ground-up two-seat electric sports car designed and
built at the VRI. The battery charge is maintained by a
Thermophotovoltaic (TPV or "Midnight Sun) generator.
Funding for the TPV generator and the vehicle was from a US Department of
Energy (DOE) grant in concert with an industry partner, JX Crystals of
Issaquah, WA. Final installation and finishing was supported by the MURI
