CACT Forum held at Annual Maker Faire

In partnership with Make Magazine and the 3rd annual Maker Faire, held at the San Mateo Fairgrounds, DeAnza College CACT organized and facilitated a faculty forum to stimulate discussion and gather feedback on how projects shown at the Faire could be integrated into CTE programs (http://makerfaire.com/pub/e/2909).  Faculty members received early entry into the Faire to participate in a pre-exposure discussion, and then reconvened at 3:00 pm for a post-exposure dialogue.  Information from the forum will be used to explore future CACT-sponsored activities at the Maker Faire.

Participants included community college staff and faculty from DeAnza College, San Jose City College, San Francisco City College and Sierra College; and five CTE high school faculty teams (and 3 students) from Sierra College's "Sierra STEM" project-funded teams (SB70/SB1133 CTE Community Collaborative).
