Learning Communities Created for Career Planning at Cerritos College

Cerritos College has developed several Learning Communities – linked courses that can be co-taught, have integrated assignments, and be co-assessed – including a series that combines Career Planning, English, and Reading courses.  Learning Communities include “A Journey of Self Discovery,” “Fast Track to Success,” “Find Your Dream and the Path to Reach it,” and “From College to the Real World: Finding Yourself and a Career Through Writing.”

The program also has an extensive Advisory Committee consisting of faculty and staff from Media, Business, Science/Math/Engineering, Liberal Arts, and Physical Education departments; Counseling; Faculty Senate; Library; and Adult Education.
