Learning Communities Created for Career Planning at Cerritos College

Cerritos College has developed several Learning Communities – linked courses that can be co-taught, have integrated assignments, and be co-assessed – including a series that combines Career Planning, English, and Reading courses.

Learning Communities include:

“A Journey of Self Discovery;” “Fast Track to Success;” “Find Your Dream and the Path to Reach it;” and “From College to the Real World: Finding Yourself and a Career Through Writing.”

The program also has an extensive Advisory Committee consisting of faculty and staff from Media, Business, Science/Math/Engineering, Liberal Arts, and Physical Education departments; also included in the committee:  Counseling; Faculty Senate; Library; and Adult Education.
